Leaf Patrol

Grandma Walburger's yard has exploded in leaves.  We decided to do a little service project yesterday to help her get it under control.  The girls were surprisingly enthusiastic about the task.  Perhaps it was the beautiful fall weather...do you see Charlotte wearing short sleaves???  We spent about two hours raking, piling and stuffing leaves into garbage bags.

Grandma showed Lydia the art of stomping the leaves into the can to make more space.  It was amazing how many leaves we could fit into one bag.

The older girls and Casey amused themselves by singing barbershop the whole time.  Seriously, Charlotte could sing barbershop with her dad all day long if he let her.  After the leaf raking was complete, we took the girls out for breakfast and hot chocolate.  A little service in the morning does a body good!

Mission accomplished!

Grandma has a nice leaf-free yard...that is, until the next big wind storm comes along!

Here are our last two weeks!  Have a nice November!
